Myofascial trigger point therapy is a comprehensive rehabilitative treatment approach designed to treat myofascial pain, which addresses structural distortions and movement dysfunction within the muscle (myo), and connective tissue structures (fascia) within the body. After conducting a thorough patient history, pain patterns are charted, movement assessments are performed, and structural assessments are conducted. Restrictions and dysfunction within the connective tissue are treated, in order to restore optimal neurological function and tissue hydration to the superficial & deep fascia layers, ligaments, joint capsules, as well as scar tissue. Myofascial trigger points are released utilizing compression on the trigger point during static, passive or active movement. Vapocoolant spray & stretch, muscle energy techniques, combined with passive, active and PNF stretches help to encourage the joints to return to their correct position, and the soft tissues to return to their normal resting length and function. Precipitating and perpetuating factors are addressed, and appropriate corrective home exercises are recommended.

Cranial therapy is a gentle, yet extremely effective approach, assessing and treating the hydraulic cranial-sacral system, which generates our cranial rhythmic impulse. Empirical evidence substantiates the motion of the cranial bones, as well as the cranial rhythmic impulse. Our cranial-sacral system expands and contracts, similar to when we breathe, and is often referred to as our "primary respiratory mechanism". The brain, spinal cord & cerebrospinal fluid are encased within a dural membrane, which attaches to the bones in the cranial vault, sacrum, coccyx, as well as the upper cervical spine. Treatment of the face & jaw can also be very beneficial in cranial therapy. Each suture between the bones of this cranial-facial-cervical-sacral system has a unique articulation and physiologic motion. Restoration of the natural motion within this system allows the body to return to a profound sense of well-being. As a result, there can be a reduction and/or elimination in headaches, migraines, neck pain, jaw pain, sinus issues, low back pain, SI joint pain & more!

Problems with the position and movements of the lips and tongue can contribute directly to pain & dysfunction including TMD, crooked teeth, orthodontic relapse, headaches, neck pain, forward head posture, snoring, mouth breathing, nail biting, thumb sucking, speech difficulties, and hair pulling. The treatment process always begins with a thorough one-hour Initial Assessment, and involves 8 to 12 follow up visits. Each visit includes detailed measurements to track progress, and new exercises are given to advance the therapy. Sometimes referrals to other health professionals for tongue tie, allergy testing and tonsil problems are required. All supplies for at-home exercises during the program are provided. After the 8 to 12 week program, a complete re-assessment is conducted before graduating from the program! Sometimes people will require further work, depending on the severity of their case, and on their compliance.

Peels can vary in type and intensity (from lighter to deeper peels), but essentially they all remove dead skin cells on the skin’s outer surface, speeding up the cellular turnover rate, revealing smoother more radiant skin. Exfoliating the skin also improves the penetration and absorption of active ingredients in your skin care products. Consult with your Licensed Skin Care Professional to determine which treatment is appropriate for your skin type and condition. Each exfoliating treatment can be performed alone, or with a facial, which includes customized masque preparations, extractions & massage. In most cases, best results can be achieved with a series of 6 to 12 treatments, scheduled 7 to 14 days apart, followed by monthly maintenance treatments.
Combine with a rejuvenating treatment for a non-surgical face-lift…Ah!

Skin Care-Rejuvenating Treatments

Rejuvenating treatments do not exfoliate the skin, but penetrate into the skin, using light or sound waves, to stimulate and rejuvenate the cells of the skin. Rejuvenating treatments also aid in product penetration by driving active ingredients deeper into the skin. Do you suffer from chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, panic, irritability, have difficulty with memory, or have trouble concentrating? A dysfunctional breathing habit could explain your symptoms. Find out with breathing biofeedback!
Various circumstances and life experiences can influence how we learn to breathe, and these breathing habits can be a hidden cause for many uncomfortable symptoms…symptoms which are often mistakenly attributed to other causes. A breathing biofeedback assessment allows us to identify your triggers for dysfunctional breathing habits, while we monitor your CO2 levels, muscle activity and heart rate variability with biofeedback equipment. This allows us to determine if breathing habits are linked to your symptoms. We will then utilize this data to customize an individualized learning plan, and over the course of several follow up visits, guide you back to a state of healthy breathing and improved well-being!
You can learn how to understand and self-regulate your most troubling symptoms in just 4 to 8 weeks! Research shows that just 4 weeks of biofeedback training allows for dramatic symptom management, better than therapy and medication combined. The results of biofeedback last long term & even get better over time! Biofeedback can be the stepping stone toward living a better life. Let us show you how. Contact Alfredo at 505-306-6553 or email him at alfredo.fullcircleabq@gmail.com.
Breathing biofeedback is a process that enables an individual to learn how to identify & change physiological activity for the purposes of improving health, reducing pain and improving performance. Precise instruments (capnometers, EMG, etc.) measure physiological activity such as CO2 levels, respiration rate, heart rate variability and other components of respiratory, autonomic & somatic biofeedback. These instruments rapidly and accurately "feed back" information to the user, often in conjunction with changes in thinking, emotions, and behavior, which supports desired physiological changes. Over time, these changes can endure without continued use of an instrument.

Our FDA-approved “WatchPAT” home sleep test is a simple, fast, accurate and reliable option for screening and detecting sleep apnea. It includes an easy to use device, that is worn like a simple wrist-watch & finger sensor, with no need for belts, wires or nasal cannulas. The WatchPAT operates on advanced proprietary technology known as PAT, or Peripheral Arterial Tone, measuring sympathetic nervous system activation associated with Sleep Disordered Breathing. WatchPAT technology is accurate and comprehensive, also measuring oxygen levels, body movements, heart rate, body position and snoring intensity, and is the only home sleep test that also measures “True Sleep Time”, providing complete sleep stages and architecture. It is the most clinically validated home sleep test, with a documented correlation of 90%, as compared to in-lab polysomnogram sleep studies. WatchPAT allow us to provide you with an affordable at-home sleep study, all in the comfort of your very own bedroom, an environment that best reflects the patterns of your sleep habits!
While it’s likely your physician will refer you for a sleep study, it’s not required. Just schedule an appointment with our clinic to pick up your WatchPAT. Then, take the equipment home and put it on when you go to bed. When you wake up in the morning, remove the WatchPAT and return it to our clinic, so we can download your sleep data for an immediate detailed sleep report. Your sleep report data will then be interpreted by a board-certified sleep physician, which will be sent to you and/or your referring physician within 3 to 5 business days. Your doctor will review the results with you, and if necessary, determine the best course of treatment.
